I am SO behind this year. I finally got to the pet store to get some goodies for my SS's kit(s). Now I just need a few small things, a quick homemade thing and I'm ready to wrap.

Yep! Jenny got it today! She got great pics of the kits and the box and wrapping paper.

Dear SS, mine may be delayed as some sort of "bug" is making it's way through the family (nausea and diarrhea
) and so the making of one item will have to wait.

Attention Santas who live in Canada!!!

Sorry I forgot to post this earlier. Canada post quoted me $24 to send my gift surface (with delivery confirmation), and said it should arrive the week of Dec 22nd. I felt this was cutting it close, so asked about express post - $35, 5-7 business days. I was shipping something UPS to my mother, so asked them how much it would be to ship SS gift to USA, and they told me $26!!!! So it was only 2$ more for insured guaranteed shipping through UPS (who allows you to declare items with them so customs wont open anything) and package will be delivered withing 5 business days. Dont count out UPS in favour of slow and unreliable Canada Post!
Just FYI

It depends on the size of the box.

When I got my quote from Canada Post, for regular surface mail I was told $22 with a delivery time of 11 days, but the Christmas rush could possibly delay it. Express Post for the parcel was $34 with a guaranty of 6 business days or I get my money back for shipping.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with UPS when it comes to having things delivered to me, especially from the USA. They charge outrageous fees for brokerage fees, sometimes to the value of the parcel you are receiving. Because of that I'll never use them to ship something. I'd use FedEx if I were to use a courier.

Shipping regular surface mail at this point should be adequate to get a parcel to the USA. Next week however, it might be cutting it close and I would probably go with a courier at that point.

In the snow!!!!
This was my first year and I put a pic of my girls and a pic of a sunflower in my recipient's card but she guessed it pretty quickly because I am apparently one of the few members who have two torites

I guess next year I will have to make the clues harder.

Well, usually the contents of my package give me away.

I don't think anyone will forget Mooch and Noodles hint - a cow and a piece of macaroni.

There's no place like home
To my recipient, _________; I'm taking a quick break from wrapping all of your presents. I hit the point where I knew I had to get them wrapped and shipped or I would never stop picking up that "last minute" item. I will ship them in the next few days. There is chocolate involved so you best open them up when you get them or that poor chocolate could go stale!
