That would take all the pleasure out of having something to open on Christmas or Christmas Eve!
so, your SS better not send homemade baked goodies, huh? i sent some last year - if she'd waited, they'd have probably been all moldy...

Well, if that was the case, then I guess I'd HAVE to open it early!

But to be honest (and PLEASE don't take any offense, anyone!) I wouldn't eat anything that was homemade from someone I don't know purr-sonaly.

Ooo Ooo Ooo! I hope it's me - especially if it's jewelry/gem related!

I just got around to reading this!
I'm soooo excited!

A question: I'm wondering if our SS is the same person that is also our recipient. Or do we get someone different?
And just how do the mods choose who gets whom?

Inquiring minds want to know!

well, if you put that in the hints thread, yours probably won't send any.... too bad - my last year's SS was thrilled w/my white chocolate chip raspberry brownies [she had posted she liked white chocolate & raspberry stuff, so i altered my usual dark chocolate/milk chocolate/butterscotch chip recipe just for her].

Well, maybe someone else will know the answer.
Or maybe they'll tell me "Shhhhh!" cuz it'll spoil all the fun!

As far as I know, you never get the same person who has you, that way lots of different people get the chance to know eachother

I'm also just guessing here, but I think the mods just randomly match people, based on where they would or wouldn't want to ship to. I believe they also keep previous lists to make sure you don't get the same person over again.

Kelly sent me some homemade fudge that was out of this world.
It was literally the best fudge I have ever eaten
I reluctantly shared with others and they all unfortunately absolutely loved it, too

I ate some and froze some for later, but later turned out to be sooner

I might just change my mind about that if YOU'RE my SS and you send me those scrumptious sounding brownies, Laureen!

And the MODS also pretty much keep you guessing about those questions, too

so i changed it.

if you don't get any home-baked goodies, then i can send you BOTH recipes!

I'm already getting fat enough as it is!
I don't need any recipes to tempt me!

But do it anyway!
What the heck! I'm a grandma now - I'm entitled to not be pencil-thin anymore!

I think the choosing involves much consuming of alcohol and having a few headaches.....

I guess it wouldn't make much sense if the recipient & the SS were one & the same. It would kinda spoil all the fun.

I sure hope my recipient likes what I have planned to get! She's quite a bit younger than this old granny, and I'm not sure what youngsters like now-a-days!

I'd like to sign up for that package too please!

Ok, so.. I have the MAJOR part of my gift ready for my SS and I have a few fillers. I just need to get a few more fillers. Hubby keeps having to remind me that it's only September and I can't send it yet! The day I got my name I was up until 5am snooping, digging, and getting put together the hopefully perfect gift for my SS. I can't wait till they get it! Is it Christmas yet?
