My precious Snowball passed away a few hours ago.

He was a 17 year old kitty who was diagnosed with early kidney disease 7 years ago...

Snowball suddenly developed bladder problems, and his general condition was worsening rapidly. He was pts this morning, and I already miss him so much. I stayed with Snowball while the vet gave him the final injection, and made sure he could see me and know I was with him right up to the very end. After the vet said Snowball's heart had stopped I stayed in the room with his body for a short time and then I left.

I'm too upset to say anymore right now.

Condolences on losing your precious boy I am glad that you had the courage and love enough to be with him to the end, to see his little spirit onto the path to cross Rainbow Bridge. You will be in my heart and thoughts tonight; so many of us have been through this sad phase of kitty love before. It reminds me of the line in a song from the 1970s that went "the first time we said 'hello' began our last 'good-bye'". Please don't hesitate to PM any of us here at TCS anytime you feel like it. We all understand your pain during these difficult days.

Lorie, I don't always go to this forum but when I saw Snowball's name I just had to let you know that I feel for your loss.
People say that "well, that's like a snowball's chance in hell." But we all know that Snowball is herself in Kitty Heaven.

Lorie I too am very very sad to have to say goodbye to Snowball, even if just on a forum. Snowball was one of the first TCS kitties that I really "knew", and he's always held a special place in my heart. He's a very precious little soul.

Play happily at the Bridge, Snowball, and watch over your mommy. Her heart is very sad right now.

Snowball will always be with you, Lorie. A bond like you shared cannot be broken.

Oh Lorie, I am so sorry My heart just aches for you. I too, like a few others have mentioned, feel like I got to know Snowball during my time on TCS. Please know that you are in my thoughts.

I'm so sad to hear this news, Lorie. May your heart find both comfort and healing with the wonderful life you gave him and all he gave back to you.

I'm so very sorry, Lorie. Just think of what a tribute it is that Snowball stayed with you for so long. I know you already know this. It still doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye to your baby that stayed with you for so long, does it? Many hugs.

Oh no! Lorie, words just escape me, this has just brought me to tears. I'm so incredibly sorry and dare not imagine how shattered your heart must be. I know it's of little comfort right now, but Snowball is so happy and healthy now. Truly, I'm just so sorry. Snowball, you're so very loved and so very deeply missed
