Neutered tom cat

Hello

I just wondered how long after having your cat neutered (Loki) does his ehh urge to mount my 3 female cats go away? Or infact does it ever go away? I know he only came back from the vet this afternoon but I thought at least he might be a bit sore and feel sorry for himself...but no!

Any advise?

Can take up to 2 months for the tom to be "clean" and not get females pregnant. If those females are not spayed then he can get them pregnant if he's breeding them.

Thanks I'll know now to keep him away from our new 10 week old kitten then :-)
