Depending upon when Hurricane Ike hits us, I probably won't be able to go online for a least several days b/c in all probability, we'll be w/o out power.
I may be able to use the computer tomorrow for part of the day, but it all depends upon when Ike hits. So, it's so long for now.

I'll miss y'all, and can't wait till I get back!
See ya later!

No , we're staying put and doing what we can to take precautions. I spent the past few hours moving clothing and irreplacable items into the spare bedroom, b/c my s/o thinks that if any trees hit our place, it'll be the one in front of the bedroom/bathroom.
So I've been moving stuff out of it, and we're gonna keep the door shut to that part of the house so the cats can't get in there and get crushed.

We really have no place to go.
And even if we did, I doubt that we would be allowed to bring ten cats with us. And there's NO WAY that I'm leaving them behind!!

I sure hope it won't get that bad!

Thanks for the vibes, y'all!

We have all that stuff on hand, and then some!

I was prepared back when they thought Hurricane Dolly might hit. It's in my Virgo nature to over-cautious: what can I say?
There's even 6 big buckets of water on the porch for the strays to drink (food will be supplied as needed) and a "safe" place for them to go either under the porch or in the shed.
Gotta take care of them, too!

The winds are starting to pick up now, so I'm closing up shop before the power shuts down and the computer gets damaged. And I just looked out the window, and it looks really funky: the sky is a pinkish-purplish color.

Maybe I'm being too cautious, but around here, if anyone so much as sneezes at a power line, it usually goes out.
Okay - maybe I'm over exaggerating, but not by much!

Anyway, I'd rather play it safe, so I'm outta here for now.
If we still have power tomorrow (as the Terminator once said), "I'll be back!"
Or as soon as possible, anyway!

See y'all later!

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I thank God we live in NW NJ - we always seem to live in places where if anyone sneezes the power goes out.

I really hope you (and everyone affected) are OK.

Hope you're back soon to let us know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
