We just got her lab work back yesterday, and while it's not unexpected, it's still devastating. I've been reading up on CRF treatment and stuff, but I'm so overwhelmed. We had taken Callie to the holistic vet because we wanted to know how we could improve her diet. We had also asked for the senior blood panel to be done (she was due for that). That doctor's office has given us a treatment plan for the next 2 weeks. Today, I faxed the results to our regular vet to get his input. I'm waiting for him to call me with his recommendation.
Personally, I'm more comfortable with the quality of care and treatment I know she'll get at the regular vet's office than at the holistic vet's office. But I really like a lot of the holistic approaches to treatment. I really wish they would work together and not be so territorial with their patients. Very frustrating for me!
