I have a big VariKennel that's good for my big boy (15 pounds), but I am disabled and a senior citizen, and the carrier and cat is quite a lot to handle--both awkward and heavy. I just took him to the vet the other day, and I think I need to get a "wheeled" carrier that will be easier for me to manage.

Does anyone have a model they'd recommend? I've seen a couple in my catalogs, but before I invest in something that expensive, it would be nice to know that someone is happy with his/her choice.

Before you invest in a new carrier, you might want to try a set of luggage wheels for your current one. Get one with large wheels, they're easier to maneuver going over curbs and doorsills. You can fasten your pet carrier to the rack with a bungie cord (usually included with the set).

This is the type of thing I'm talking about, in case the description didn't help.

Never thought of that. We recently got a wheeled cart that holds the carrier, show bag, and a few other things. I don't know why I never thought of it before, but its great

Thanks so much for your suggestion about luggage wheels! I never thought of that, and yet I had been hoping that there was some way to "attach" wheels to my kennel since it's so perfect for my guy.

I'm going to look into this immediately.
