Treats while on an elimination diet

I am slowly transitioning Abby over to an elimination diet. She is very picky, so this is not going to be fun. She is also very treat-oriented. Does anyone know of any venison, duck or rabbit treats that can be used while on an elimination diet?

Thanks!

I do know of some but they contain"other " ingrediants ... I would actaully use some dry food of what your feeding as treats

Seconding that. You can't give anything else while on an allergy diet. Even if you were to find treats with the same kind of meat, they would still have different ingredients than the allergy food.

I don't even know what an elimination diet is, maybe some others too would like to know.

In any case, good luck. These cats sure can be fussy.

an ellimination diet is one the excludes foods that had previously been in the diet ...

ie if you feed chicken , corn , rice

you may want a beef and barley diet to see if any change occurs

often vets use a "hypoallergenic diet " like z/d

Karen, would Abby be able to have these ones?. Their a lot more expensive than normal treats because their freeze dried, but these are the only ones Sophie will eat. They do them in chicken and prawn as well.

Have a look and if you want some i'll be more than happy to send her a couple of tubes of them

Unfortunately, no. She can't have fish.

Thank you though.

This company makes single ingredient treats, and they do have a venison one. A store near me sells them- unfortunately they're pretty expensive, but maybe they'd be worth it for the short-term.
