I have a kitten now 6 months old. He's a bit timid and usually likes to hide under the couch for extensive period of time, etc. But at night he's real active and would jump up and down of my bed. He also love biting on my feet, as if it is some kind of hunting exercise. How do I stop this?

We have lots of helpful information here on The Cat Site in the form of articles. Here is an article for you; just replace the word hands with feet!

Hiding from my SS!
I got my Spooky at 7 months old and this was a big problem. He would attack my hands and feet HARD, biting to often leave bleeding sores at night while I tried to sleep. Attempting to move my hands or feet away from him would only cause him to attack more vigorously. I tried several things.

1. Gave him his own bed in my bedroom to sleep in. (No Response)
2. Vigorous play sessions before bed. (No Response)
3. Tossed toys away to distract him (This made him stop, but then he would attack when he wanted to play)
4. Locked him out of the bedroom (He started the attacking back up as soon as let back in)

What finally worked was to allow him to stay in my room with me at night, but the first time he jumped on me or attacked/bit he was told a stern “Noâ€, picked up and placed on the floor. If he did it again, he was taken out of my room and put in “time out†in the bathroom (with food, water and litterbox) for the remainder of the night. It didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t take very long at all of that, and he quit attacking and started sleeping at night!
