Should I pack her favorite scratching post?

I'm shipping my items etc next weekend and wondering how I should do on Ku Ku's items. I have this scratching post that she regularly uses: size is about 20 inch tall with a 12 x 12 inch base/stand. This is not so heavy but because of the base that stands on, it takes up space and does not seem to fit into the suitcase I have now

Besides, I've following items for Ku Ku that I'll have to pack in a check-in baggage:
Food(dry & can)
Treats
Bed
Food bowls/trays
Tooth brush
Grooming kits(brush, wipes etc)
Catnip(both spray & regular)
Feliway spray & plug-in
Toys
Collapsible carrier(for vet visit etc)
Disposable litterbox
Litter(smaller bag)
Scratching board(flat one that I can put on a floor)

I'm hand-carrying quarantine documentations and Rescue Remedy but also considering adding a leash & harness(she hasn't trained on it yet, though).

As you see, her items can easily take-up 1 suitcase.
Her favorite scratching post needs an extra space because of the size and how it's built. I'll have to buy one suitcase just for her but still debating whether I should bring the scratching post with us OR ship it separately.
Shipping will take approx 2 to 3 weeks.

Thank you for your advise

Can you disassemble the post so the base comes off and then it wouldn't be such an awkward shape and it'd be easier to pack?

If not and she'll regularly use the flat scratching board that you've packed, then I don't see why waiting for it to be shipped would be too bad

I first thought about that...but the problem is, the base is attached to the post without any visible nails/screws. If I'd have to disassemble it, then it literally means that I'd break it...I know, not a good sign. She'd also love to stretch while using it, I don't want to sacrifice other furniture just for that.

I decided to "squeeze in" the post in the biggest suitcase I have.
Seems it fits in somehow. I'd have to bring one suitcase exclusively for Ku Ku's necessities anyways. The post will have to be in her suitcase along with other items

I can't believe that her suitcase is bigger than mine.

I've tried cardboard kind long time ago, and yes, she disapproved it, completely ignored the board, and kept using my couch as her scratching post

I found a current scratching post that made with the same textured material as the couch. Ever since I bought it, the new post became her favorite.

I am concerning on how well she'd be adjusted to the new environment without having her old favorites...I don't think that's possible especially after the long haul flight. I'm sure she'd need her "old favorite" to comfort her & make her feel at home
