Serious Question: Can cats be allergic to

other cats? I know that sounds crazy, but I'm serious. My cat Max never had any health problems. Within 6 months of getting our kitten, Boots, he diagnosed with asthma.

Is it possible that Max is allergic to Boots?

I don't think he is allergic to the kitten. Perhaps Boots is getting into stuff Max is allergic to.

I have a cat with Asthma and she got it as she got older. Boots has nothing to do with it.

I actually thought of this question today myself... last night I visited a friend's place for the first time and he has a kitty and she was ALL over me (teehee everyone's pets are like that with me) and then when I came home Oliver sneezed a whole bunch of times... maybe it's not Moto he's allergic to but rather something at Joe's place... hmmm
