I opened the door a few mins ago to go out and check the mail and there was a present on the porch....A dead mouse and Duke sitting proudly on the patio table

I know it was Duke because he's the only inside/outside kitty.

I guess he was trying to say "I love you"

I told him that next time he wants to show his love, bring me flowers

Duke did not have time to gift wrap it.
Good Duke.
Has he ever presented you with live trophies? Those are really heart stoppers.

Ah, the live trophies. My boyfriend's late cat did that... dropped a half-dead mouse right on my boyfriend's chest while he was sleeping.

Mom had a live mouse dropped on her chest. After I got it for her (it was just a baby) Mom almost whacked Dad because he did nothing but hide under the blanket and snicker.

Awwww, anybody can give flowers. Something like a dead mouse on the other hand shows real love.

cinnamon brings up mice from the basement all the time she'll find it and carry it around till she can find someone to watch then proceeds to play with it till she kills it and then sits there and looks at you like you should be showering her with love...lol

Ain't that the truth!

My RB kitty Oreo brought me a cold, dead lizard when I was pregnant with my oldest son. She dropped it right on my chest while I was asleep.

I was not a happy meowmy when she did that!

She brought me a live Wolf Spider once! I was screaming and crying for my ex to come and get it!
Of course, he just laughed

If I got brought a live spider and hubby just laughed he'd be 'ex' too

We had a friend who's a very keen birdwatcher round for the night on saturday, needless to say halfway through the evening in strutted Pipsi with a mouthful of fresh feathers...

Being loved by a cat is not an easy task! I'd freak if a kitty were to bring me a dead roach, or worse, a LIVE one! I hate them stinky cockroaches
