and I know he is gentle with them - he is the one who brought them home to us with no warning...

we have had them for about 4 weeks now. At first, Tundra would favor him and the other me. Now, they both will run to the door when he gets home and then walk off as if disinterested.
These two will follow me all over the house. Room to room to room. They even come into the bathroom at night when i shower and lay down and wait for me to finish.Tacoma, the smaller of the two is a momma's boy. When at the computer, like now, both are sound asleep right next to the keyboard. If i get up, they wake up to see where I am going and then Tacoma will follow me. Tundra is a little more independent and likes alone time.
How can I get them to be more playful with my husband? I kinda feel bad for him when he calls out to them and they turn around casually and walk away.
I know he has not hurt them, they are not afraid of him. They are even bold enough to go to him when he has food or jump on him just to get to another area if he happens to be in the way. Is it their age? they are now 16 weeks old.
So sad....

If you're home more than he is, this is just natural. Both Sterling and Ella wanted to be with me when I brought them home, but now they both prefer Dottie. Punkin is definitely "my" cat.

You can't affect the way the cats bond to any great extent.

Cats tend to pick who they want to be with, but maybe if your hubby feeds your cats or at least gives them treats occasionally, then they will pay more attention to him. My hubby seems to be perfectly happy that the cats prefer me most of the time

Because I get home first and am off all summer, i encourage Zoey and Talley to bond with my husband by having him be the one to feed them and clean their litter box. It has made a huge difference.
