Wishing I were anywhere but here
Luna has been going on the floor daily now since the floors have been changed. She did this before, but not as often. I have tried cat attract, I have put pee pads down, etc. Nothing works!!!!! I am about to strangle her. Can anyone help me??? I am tired of cleaning it up everyday. She urinates and has fecal on the floor. Would another litterbox in the living room help?? I feel like pulling my hair out!

I'm not sure if there is anything I can say to help, but what kind of floor did you have installed? Anything with a scent or texture that might make her think "this is the place"?

I'm assuming that you are already thoroughly cleaning the areas with an enzyme cleaner. A couple of ideas. One is to get the Feliway spray and spray the area where she has been going. The other is the one you are already thinking of. Put a litter box there with the cat attract. You may then be able to slowly move it to the place where you want it to end up at.

You could try changing to another brand of litter, and use the Cat Attract.
But the floor seems to be the problem. Can you clean it with something that would take away the smell?

I know these peeing and pooping problems drive me out of my mind, too. I have another curent one, which I"ll post in a separate thread.

Perhaps your vet will have some suggestions, too.

Whatever the cause, your kitty is reacting to something in a way that seems right and natural to her. Once you find out what she's uncomfortable with, it'll be okay. It's the process of finding out while the behaviour goes on that gets to us.

In utter sympathy with you,
