We just got an inhaler for my asthmatic kitty, Max. He's NOT happy about having the mask on his face, even for only the 10 seconds they recommend. Any tips or tricks to make this easier? (I'm going to wrap him in a towel next time so he can't fight so much, but I hate that it bothers him!) Thanks!

Are you wasting alot of the spray also.
My Cats paws the mask off and backs up everytme and it gets wasted. What inhaler are you using. I just asked how to give a inhaler with out it being wasted in the inhaler group. i hope the replies will help you also.

Phoebe (my angel kitty) used an Aerokat inhaler for her asthma twice a day and did very well with it. Make it a positive experience. I would give her 2 treats after the treatment, so when I said "are you ready for your inhaler?" she would jump up onto the window perch, take the inhaler and get her 2 treats. If you make it a positive experience and use a happy tone of voice, it will go smoother. It is over quick and the treats come right after so they learn to deal with the few seconds before the treats.

Here are some sites that greatly helped me and have videos:

And here's my little girl....
