Not needing advice just freaked out!

I was clipping the cats nails tonite and clipped one of poor Rocko's too short and he started to bleed.

OH! My poor old guy....i feel like such a bad mom right now. He even pooed a little. I think it may have been his anal glands. He is taking care of it which is good cus' I don't want to freak him out more by trying toclean him. I feel so sick right now.

I am sure he feels sick right now too.....my poor boy! I feel even worse because I wish he would stratch me or SOMETHING, he just poo-pooed but didn't show that he was upset any other way.

I gave him treats. I hope he can forgive me.

I am no stranger to clipping nails. I was a bather/brusher in a grooming salon for a while. But it is different when it is a sweetie like him and MY sweetie. Thus is the first nail I have clipped too short since having my cats.

Thanks for letting me express myself. I needed to tell some people who have been there.

I've done it too. But they get over it. Mine have never held it against me

I've done it a couple times in the many years I've been trimming pet nails - you should try trimming rodent nails, that's a really eye crossing challenge.

Animals forget, just offer food and any minor discomfort is usually completely forgotten.

I gave him some treats...he was happy about that. Later on that evening he watched me take a bath and than came to bed with me. All is forgiven I guess.

He just has puppy dog eyes. They kill me!
