I'm dragging this further OT, then we should stop.

Many are un-educated on what declawing is. A vet does it, therefore there should be no issue.

Well, Pandora had her surgery on Tuesday. All went well, except her teeth were beyond rotten & it ended up costing more for the surgery than anticipated.

However, her cagemate has ringworm, therefore she has ringworm(vet confirmed it today). So they are now on quarantine for 6 weeks to be treated.
They were also at my house, and in direct contact with Bea & Molly....and who knows who else I indirectly contaminated. Most cats in my home are "immune" to ringworm thanks to
Damita....but Bea, Molly, & Eden & the babies are not.

I am so glad her surgery went well...
hopefully this sweet girl, after she heals from this and the ringworm, will live a long, healthy life.

I am so sorry that you might have to deal with ringworm at home.

How do you plan to deal with this new challenge?

Sending the strongest possible vibes that Bea, Molly, & Eden & the babies did not catch it.

I've got a decided course of action for each individual cat whether I will treat them or not. They'll get anti-fungal baths, I forgot to get shampoo today so they will get bathed tomorrow after I get some.

I suppose I do anti-fungal baths 1-3x a week for the next 6 weeks. Or I just do them on Bea (she is the only cat I will not medicate for ringworm) regularly & do everyone else once.

Ick, Natalie - Ringworm stinks.

But it sounds like a good thing that her teeth were just really really bad, I think.
Is that ALL they think that was?

Bad gentics. She's Twitch & Cow's sister from a younger litter, or niece (I can't remember anymore). Both are toothless, as is her mother/grandmother.

I hope so. We can only wait to see. We *hope* the dental extraction solves the problems, but won't know for many weeks to come.

I'm glad the surgery went well. Hopefully Pandora will have a better shot now. And I'm so sorry about the ringworm - ugh! No fun. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that you don't have to deal with an outbreak in all the kitties.

Fingers crossed for her, and for the others with ringworm, and good on you for being an angel yet again.

Maseleb is the shampoo, however none left at the shelter, so I've got nothing to bathe them with. Suppose I'll just hope for the best, it's been long enough since the contact with the infected cats it wouldn't do a whole lot anyways.
