My cat just swallowed a piece of what I think is plastic. On Crystal Light drink mix packets, the top part you tear off to open it? It's about half an inch wide and he swallowed it before I could get to him. Do you think he will pass it ok or should I take him to the vet in the morning???

Take the cat to the Vet...with a sample of the object he swallowed....unless you are willing to live with the regrets of what not going may bring.
You will not get a prognosis here.
If it were my cat, I would spend the time it has taken you to post and wait...in getting myself to the Vet clinic.

I would recommend that you at least call your vet, explain the situation and they will advise you if you need to treat this as an emergency.
