Making Siggies Question

When those of you who make siggies for us TCS members, do you use the "Paint" program that's on your computer?? I tried playing around with it a little, and from what I can gather, a person could possibly make a siggy with that program - IF they know what they're doing, that is!

Is that how you siggy makers make our siggies??

Most of us use more advanced programs like photoshop, photoshop elements or PaintShopPro

It would be a rare occasion I ever open MS Paint but I have seen people make decent siggies in Paint when they just want to use a picture or two that already have a background they like

Well, I tried playing around with it, and it would probably take me YEARS of practice before I even figured it out and got good with it..

So does that mean we're better off leaving it to the "experts"?

I absolutely LOVE the siggy I have now, but I'd like to change it once in awhile. I tried making one on the paint program, using the pic of the kittens that are in my avatar, but I got too frustrated and gave up..
You gotta have a real steady hand & nerves of steel to use THAT program!

Yeah MS Paint isn't overly user friendly for anything other than maybe viewing a picture.

If you check in the sticky at the top of the sig forum there is a link to graphic help and resources where people say what they use and how easy they find the program to use.
