today is the day i celebrate Pixel's birthday - she's now 11 years old, the matriarch of the furkids.

i think it's been a happy one for her. i've been gone for the afternoon - went to IKEA. the cats got a cat tunnel - i returned a table [wrong color] & got a replacement one, plus some curtains & cookies.
the curtains look so much better than the ones i had in here - they're charcoal & white. my friend wanted me to get the red velvet ones [ooooh, i really liked them, too] & color-wise they'd have looked great - for about 5 minutes. then they'd have been covered w/cat hair. i explained to her that these were a far more practical choice [they're a very heavy cotton - not quite as heavy as a canvas, but close] & are machine washable & easy to re-hang.
