Well, at least until the electricity goes off.

I watched these webcams in New Orleans during Katrina, and when they went off and stayed off for 48 hours, I knew they were in deep trouble down there.

I'd hate to think what our country would do if something like that happened. Everyone seems to be waaay more organised in those situations over there than we would be.

Right now on the webcam it's night
so all I can see is a big W.

That's all I saw on the RiverCam
And on the bridge cam I just see darkness and rain! My MIL knows someone in New Orleans who was having their house rebuilt after Katrina - it's still not built, and they're wondering if Gustav is gonna take it right back out.

OMG I hope her home will be ok, your country is so organised, I think the UK would go into a mad panic if anything like that happened here!

I just clicked on the cams and there's nothing there, I take it that the power has gone and it has arrived.

Stay safe peeps!

We've got people worried about Hurricane Hannah already here in SC. Going by their estimate it'll hit Savannah, GA in ~5 days. Currently only a cat 1, and somehow DH got suckered into spending the last few hours helping some guy who already owes him money to fix his brakes so they can leave before it comes.

Hanna is something I am afraid of. I live not far inland from Savannah and I am very nervous that it will get to close for comfort. Then we have Ike behind that one and another forming behind it.
