I have been missing some sauces since we moved.
Today my husband found them and there was a Cheese in the box also.
The cheese was very rancid from sitting here for a month.
I hope I do not find anymore nasty things but I am missing other stuff also.
I am not sure if the sauses are still good.

If they were open, throw them out.

If they are unopen jars, they still should be good. But check for the expiration date on the jars.

If any of them is used, throw them out. Where did you find the stuff?

We found them in one of the boxes in the kitchen.
None are expired but a few are opened.
One is Balslmac Vinegar and I think its ok because it says store in cool dry place.
The others will have to go because they say must refridgerate after opening.

The balsamic vinegar is fine. I keep all of my flavoured vinegars in a cupboard. The others that were open and not refrigerated should be thrown out.

In the Central Valley heat, I might even throw out the vinegar because the flavor might not be as good as before. Unless it is a really expensive one.

Its ok because the A/C has been on and it was in the kitchen.
The Olive Oils look ok also.
The Teriyakis have to be tossed and the Mustard also.
This is the Balsamic

and this is one of the Teriyakis I have to toss.

The other was this http://www.soyvay.com/
and the Mustard.
I am still missing some Jams and other Sauces.
I sure hope they arent in the garage because its over 100 in there.

I don't know how things will last even if unopened and in date in that kind of heat - but jams and jellies last a REALLY long time if not opened - that's why they call them preserves!

We found a bag of canned soups when we moved OUT of our house that we'd lived in a year. Most of them were still in date.

That's it, after seeing the second thread like this I'm convinced that idea of numbering and main checklist for each box will be used when my husband and I move in a couple of months. I don't like surprises and wasting food costs too much.

We find another bad thing today way worse then the other stuff. I found my curry salad today and it was covered in mold. We tossed it in the big can outside.
