I am going to click on New Posts every 15 seconds (you cannot do it more often) the instant I post this. I know for a fact that it will instantly appear in Today's Posts. Anyway, on to the winners; marianjela used would first and then used used which was grabbed up by luvmycat1. Nobody used rare, long, or aware.

Today's KatKwiz was about TheCatSite.com links.

OK, let's start this like we always do, have you ever been to this area of TCS before? Have you ever clicked on any of the links? Do you have a personal cat site? Do you have it listed here on TCS, why or why not? Are you wary of clicking on links, do you think your privacy will be violated?

See told you I wouldnt break her record

I have been to the area of TCS before I found the answer to KatKwiz. I wouldn't have gotten the answer if you hadn't given that little clue. I have clicked on some of the things, but I rarely go on that page so I don't click on a lot of them. I don't have a personal cat site. I just never have the time to make one up, plus I don't know what I would put on it besides pictures and stories about my cats. I'm not too concerned about clicking on links here on TCS. I know what I should and should not click on, and if it looks suspicious I won't click on it. Otherwise I'll click on whatever interests me. I am going to look more around TCS when I have the time, and not just the forums. There are so much more things on here that I don't know exist!

Wow, I didn't even know that place was there. Go thing I wasn't playing todays Katkwiz, I would have been looking all over the place. I do not have a personal cat site. I guess it would be fun to create one, I've just never really got into that stuff. Sometimes I'm wary of clicking on links depending on the web page I'm already on. You can get all kinds of viruses and stuff doing that. Now, I'm off to go check out the more links link and see what there is to see.

Who would have guessed I would win with that word
Thanks again Lee. I dont think I will ever get out of third place, but that the rate some of these guys are moving, I have to at least maintain my position

Today was the first time I went to the "more links" section. I never even paid it any attention all the way down at the bottom before. But after the KatKwiz came out I went there and investigated quite a few different places, specifically the General Cat Sites, the Catteries/Breeders websites and the Cat Directory. The numbers add up fast, hard to believe there are over 700 sites linked there.

I did click on some of the links this morning. I visited some pages about Munchkins, checked out some of the products for sale. There are some very talented people out there! I will definitely have to remember to go back there later.

I do not have a personal website for my cats. The closest I have is my cat pages on my profile hosted here on TheCatSite. I do have some webpages, but it is not kitty-related. They are family related and softball based. I have enough trouble finding time to maintain those sites let alone a cat site. Not to mention I dont know who besides you guys would want to read them!
Since I dont have a cat related site, I do not have it listed here on TCS, although I if I did I would definitely consider linking it here. I have also thought about linking my son's CaringBridge site in my signature on a couple occasions.

I'm generally am not wary or worried about clicking on links if I know they are from a trusted source. I have very good up-to-date virus protection and I trust my firewall and spyware program. As long as it is updated the software does a good job of catching any nasties out there. Before I had RoadRunner, our cable internet, I used to have a lot of trouble with spyware. Most of my problems were from the DSL from Verizon. So I suppose back then I was more worried about my privacy than I am now, but I feel pretty secure online nowadays. There are still suspicious websites out there though and I would never visit anything that didnt look legit, and if I stumbled into something shady, I wouldnt want to click on their links. I always try to stay away from skeptical things, my friends often send me jokes that provide links online that I wont follow. Or they'll send me attachments that I wont open and just delete. I'm sure a lot of it is legitimate, but better be safe than sorry. I've lost a few months worth a pictures a while back due to a computer crash. It was a lesson learned the hard way!

Anyway, thanks again for the points! I am going to have to check out the New Posts and Today's Post comparison in more detail later, but I am pretty sure the reason you are not seeing it listed is because you are the one that posted it it and it is not *new* to YOU. Does it show up for you after someone posts a reply???

My two cents: Of course I have been to this area and yes I have clicked on the links to find things. I think it is important for our members to use TCS provided links when possible in researching information or looking for things to buy. Yes, of course I have a personal web site for Persi & Alley. I have not put it here on TCS now but now that I have been reminded of it, I will do it right away. I am not worried about clicking on links and just don't worry about things like that. I have been told I am brave by holding the Dallas TCS get together in my home and giving out my address and phone numbers to people. I do not worry about these things because they are all TCS people and I consider them a cut above other people. I feel the same way about links provided by TCS, there just ain't gonna be any links on here to be afraid of.

When I visited this part of the site today I seen some interesting pages, and I know I will be back to buy stuff at a later date. Also, I agree, I trust the links on TCS and have never second-guessed any of the links on here. I also trust the information that comes from this site and when I am researching something it is the first place I look!

PS, I have seen a website of your with Persi on it. Showing pictures of him at different stages of his kitten-hood. I dont know if it is listed on your public profile, but I know I went there for the first time by accident. I was trying to go to your profile (by clicking on your user name displayed with each post) and instead clicked on "visit P&A's homepage". Very well done by the way!

PS - it is listed with your profile - under your contact information. Unless of course there is another website you are talking about...

i've been there, & clicked on the links, especially when i was searching for a particular cat-related item [like earrings, slippers, etc.] i have a personal cat site - i'm not sure if it's listed on the TCS links, but then, it also hasn't been updated in ages! it does have a Meowhoo badge on it, tho. i posted the link to that site in the Meowhoo KatKwery answer - i'll repost it at the end of this post, as well. since i've clicked on many of the links there, i wouldn't consider myself all that wary!

of course Ive been there ! Everytime I open the main page its there just as long as you go to the bottom of the page and go to links and click on it, it will take you to a place where where is say it says something like --->
Website Owners. Please link to http://www.TheCatSite.com before requesting that your link is added. Once you have linked to us, click here to add your cat-related website.

You are asked to provide us with the URL (web address) of your link to TheCatSite.com in the "reciprocal link" field when submitting your site.

I do not personally have a cat site, I do believe those cost money to run those and thats one thing I dont have at the moment! I dont have my own cat site otherwise it would be posted there! I think its great to do that for one another! My privacy will not be violated in anyway due to the terms & service agreement where they say
Legal Disclosures of Information

"Except under the following circumstances, TCS will not share your personally identifiable information with a third party without your prior consent. There are a limited number of situations where we may disclose your personal information to others without first receiving your consent: (1) when legally ordered to do so by a lawful subpoena or court order, (2) if we believe conduct by you will harm the property or rights of TCS , or (3) under exigent circumstances to protect the physical safety of TCS, its employees, users or the general public.

So I have no worries about starting my own cat blog! I feel tottally comfotable! So I might just have to make my own site! Do show off my babies! p in a couple hours and one of the kids had and accident! So Whatever now words for me today!

I dont know if any of that makes sence but Im unbearably tired, have to be u
