We are getting so much rain from the hurricane that it is beginning to flood here in NC. I live 3 miles from work and on my way home just a few minutes ago I passed two car wrecks!

Apparantly we've gotten about 3 inches of rain today and expecting that much more before night's end.

Anyone else getting rained out??

Fay just left here. It rained nonstop yesterday, but we really needed it because we were still in a drought, we needed the rain, not the flooding, though. Be careful!

I live in Tennessee. Yesterday it poured and poured on us (we also found out we need a new roof yesterday
) I undertand your pain!

I'm in the south!!
It's rained a little yesterday, and it's been steady since last night, but I haven't seen any signs of flooding... Just a good soaking rain.

I live on the coast of NC, and we are expecting flash floods in the next few hours. I'm glad I live on high ground. A mile down the road there is a mobile home that gets flooded every time it rains hard. The people won't move it, though.

I should specify- i'm from Memphis
(A lot of Memphians HATE UT
) I'm a Memphis Tigers girl myself- went to the U of M a few years!

I agree- definitely a horrible way to find out we need a new roof
There are now water stains all over the popcorn ceilings in the house

We've been pretty lucky so far, but now they're talking about Hurricane Gustav (sp?) possibly heading this way..

My son got flooded out, when all the rain hit the midwest a few months ago.

I hope you dry out soon, and I sure hope the new hurricane doesn't head your way, too!

Sweet tea....blech!

Fay sent us a few tornadoes this afternoon. We had to hide in the bathrooms at work for a little while. And one touched down in Clemson where my brother's at school, so he had to hide too. But as far as I know, everyone's okay.

It rained for days here in Charleston. It was practically flooding West Ashley and North Charleston, and I'm sure downtown on the peninsula was under water. It's actually rained 14 days out of the last 15 (not counting today if it rains), and the worst rain was from Fay. Everything seemed like a river!

And to top it off, when it rains here, everyone forgets how to drive
Have I mentioned I'd rather live back up north?

Live in beautiful Brevard county FL, Disaster area. We were very lucky & didn't have any flooding here at our house but all around us people will be drying out for months. Some streets still have "no wake" signs up.
