I currently have two adult cats, both about seven years old. One is a very sweet male, the other is a not-so-sweet female (what is it with the girls?!). I am getting one or two male foster kitties this week, about five months old.

I will be using the introduction method favored here. New kitties will be in a room the other two never use. Over the course of several weeks, we will do a VERY slow introduction. I just hope my female cat behaves herself. She keeps me on my toes.

Wish me luck!

That's so nice. Thats pretty much what happend to me, I had a male and female brother and sister from the same litter they were about 6 years old when I brought 2 males, 4 months old into the family. My resident male, loved them. When I kept them separated for the slow introduction period, he would get disappointed when I put them back in their room. The female, just tolerates them to this day, and we've had them for 4 years now. Good luck.

Bella (dominant female) was adopted last November. Marley (sweet boy) was already with me, but it was obvious straight away who would "rule the roost". Bella never accepted Marley and still just does her own thing. She usually leaves him alone, but sometimes can't resist bullying him. She had him cornered and crying one day last week. I had to come to the rescue. I think she just does it for her own amusement. She's so mean!
