And it's still a steamy 88 degrees outside!

My s/o tried fixing it, but to no avail.
Whenever it kicks in, the circuit breaker kicks off..

It's gonna be a looooong, hot, steamy night.
I just hope the cats will be all right!

Right about now, I wish I was back home in Wisconsin, in a foot of snow!

We had that happen a few weeks ago. It was 90 in here and I was scared for my Cats. The breaker tripped when we got a new stove. I hope your A/C will be fixed soon. We have to get a new box because we can not use certain things at the same time.

Your cats will be fine. I don't have air conditioning so I have to live through all of the hot days and nights with just a fan.

If your air conditioner keeps blowing the circuit breaker, there is obviously an electrical problem with the air conditioner and it's a fire hazard if you do use it. So I'd suggest unplugging it until you can have someone look at it internally.

That's all I ever really needed, too, when I was still living in Wisconsin.
It rarely ever gets that hot there.

That's what I told my s/o, but he just HAS to keep turning the darn thing on to see if it'll magically work!

I went through 2 summers without AC and it gets to be over 100 here. Your cats will be fine.

We had a waterbed at the time, so we just emptied and filled it every 2-3 days and slept in wet t-shirts and fans.

Our AC smells so bad, I refuse to turn it on unless it's over 90* outside. Plus we're on "peak power" so we get charged more for using any power between 7am and 7pm. Can you tell I can't wait to move?

Your kitties will be fine, keep the blinds pulled and the windows closed most of the way during the heat of the day. And make sure they have plenty of water. They should be ok then.
We have only used the AC a few times this summer, and that's when it was in the upper 80s and super humid outside.

Well, the babies survived the heat, but I sure felt badly for them.
I could tell they were getting really uncomfortable, b/c they kept looking for a cool place to lay -- especially on the a/c vents, which shows you just how smart they really are!
They know where the cold air is supposed to come from!
They kept looking at me as if to say, "Well - where the heck is our cool air? Turn it on, Meowmy!" Poor babies..

It got fixed yesterday - praise the Lord!
