Hummingbirds like to tease - do NOT fall into their trap!

She was on the balcony railing (downstairs!), and there was 2 hummingbirds buzzing, bomb diving and clicking at her. They were right near her so decided to leap for them... and landed straight in the hedge
She forgot to look down in her excitement, and I was upstairs at the time watching her, and could see her in the hedge, trying to pull herself out.

The hummingbirds were still above her clicking furiously - it sounded like they were laughing at her - I certainly was!

Oh and she was fine - just covered in polleny looking stuff.

Poor Stumpy! Didn't anyone ever explain to her that in a battle between cat and hummingbird that the hummingbird almost certainly will win?
They are just too fast and they know EXACTLY how close they can get to a cat and still be safe.
