I have a Cat who is just over a year old that delivered 3 kittens yesterday. She took about 7 hours. Afterr kitten no 3 I was sure I could feel another kitten inside her, but after a couple of hours I couldn't feel anything, and there has been no more births. I am wondering now if perhaps I was feeling her uterus contracting. She seems well, has eaten this morning and her kittens are nursing beautifully. I have read that there can be huge delays between kittens being born, so my question is, where exactly should I be feeling to be more sure that there are no more kittens? It goes without saying that if she seems in the least distressed I will take her to a vet immediately, but I do know that carting her and kittens off in the car so soon after delivery could do her psychological harm, and I'm reluctant to do that unless absolutely necessary.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

If you go back through the threads here, you'll find that almost every person is convinced they feel "one more" kitten inside. That's not to say it can't happen, because it definitely can. Keep a close eye on her, watch for distress or odd discharges, etc. (Some slightly bloody discharge for a little while is normal.)

Smudge had a couple hour gap between her 4th kitten and her last two and while I thought she _might_ be done after 4 I could see lumps slowly moving closer to the birth canal with her contractions (which were mild compared to the contractions that expelled the babies). When she was done there were no more moving lumps. Although yes, I almost could have sworn I felt one.
Remember the uterus is enlarged and squishy after birth and moving back down to size, not to mention the full mammary glands.
Congratulations!
