when we got shinobi last november as a friend for milo, he came to us with severe conjunctivitus caused by cat flu. for the first couple of months, i was making weekly then fortnightly visits as his temperature also refused to go down although his eyes healed quite quickly.

here's my brave little soldier a few days after we brought him home. sorry about the pic quality but you can just see his poorly eyes.

and here he is now. a gleaming, sleek bundle of naughtiness!
erm, who loves his sleep.

he had to have antibiotic drops in them for 7 days. although the worst of the infection cleared up pretty quickly he did have 'gunk' in them for a long time, possibly 2 months. my dh was very worried that it would affect his sight but thankfully, it hasn't.
the vet also warned that it could return if he underwent any stress. i'm doing my best to ensure that never happens, so far so good!

thanks everyone for your kind comments, he is a gorgeous boy and i am very lucky to have him!

saying that, he is currently playing with my pot plant!
