So What's On The Menu This Evening?

Hamburger patty, beets and slaw.

I'm having some homemade lentil and sweet potato soup, and a veggie burger made with homemade bannock.

John had to work late and just got home, so I just made some instant mac & cheese, instant cheesy mashed potatoes and some bread.

I forgot to thaw the shrimp, so we ended up having taquitos and pierogies for dinner.

We had to pay bills and run errands today, so by the time we got home, I wasn't in the mood to cook anything. So we just had leftovers. But they were good leftovers: lasagne & garlic bread.

Now I'm getting hungry again by reading this thread. I think I'll go and have my dessert now: ice cream!

The week from hell continues, but I think I can summon the energy to cook some sausages, panfried spuds and a veg -- I'll see if I have enough beans from the garden and if not it will be green peas from the freezer. Dessert is probably ice cream and something or other -- blueberries? mango? chocolate sauce?

Tonight my nephew and I had Krystals for dinner! (soo bad i know! - but it was deliscious ) I'm totally cooking all of our meals at home the rest of the week now!

Just a turkey sandwich on some nice italian bread with chocolate pudding for dessert

Friday night is out with my mom & dad, we got to the restaurant my dad and I work at hey, we get a discount I had a steak and cheese sandwich and the salad bar

Tonight I really didn't feel like cooking. So we did Subway. But it was a good choice, cause it was yummy.

Cooking for just me tonight, so I made a big pot of vegetable soup. Every time I make it something gets forgotten and left out. Tonight I forgot to add the broccoli and lemon juice. But the eggplant, fennel, squash, leek, carrot, celery, onion, garlic, herbs, jalepeno, etc was so good! Now for desert...

We had home made chicken tortilla soup!

I think since I have time today....

I'm gonna make roast lamb with a homemade Indian spice rub with homemade mango chutney and homemade naan bread.

and I think I will put green beans with it since they are my fiances favorite.

(I adore cooking I find it sooo relaxing!) PLUS my furballs ALWAYS join me in the kitchen when I'm cooking so I think they enjoy it as well. Moo sits in the window above the sink and just sniffs everything and Tilly sits on the floor by the fridge since she is a weird non-jumping cat. (vet says because she was hit by a car as a kitten)

Bella burgers. With guac, red onion, lettuce, fresh tomato, and poblano peppers grilled. Whole wheat bread.

Breaded baked chicken breast with some long grain and wild rice.

Tonight it's steak and pasta. Maybe a veggie.

We had Italian take-out for Mom's birthday. She had a long draining day with her friends yesterday so we stayed in. We are having triple chocolate cake for dessert.

Needs to be not a lot of fuss tonight, so I think it will be Prawns in Thai Green Curry over Jasmine Rice. And watermelon for dessert.
