yes, I just read this story. That is sickening. They've already arrested a man for selling items stolen from the woman, so I think it won't be long till the have the guy who killed her.

How brave those ladies are I hope that the monster who hurt that dear, sweet soul is locked up for good, where he can never harm or kill anyone else again - sounds like he planned it out, knowing how to take advantage of honest, brave, big-hearted cat rescuers- so EVIL!!
My heart weeps when I think of how that petite lady probably felt nervous at entering the situation initially, but her desire to help a cat was stronger than any fears and apprehensions that she had
Now she's over RB, with all of our RB cats. May Miss Kerry enjoy being where she is safe forever, getting all those headbutts and purrs from RB kitties Rest in Peace, dear one - Heaven has gained whom Earth has so unfortunately lost

A sick way to prey on people.
It does point something out though - all those who go to pick up cats or other animals, please be very careful. Don't go alone if you can help it and and make sure people know where you will be at.

I was thinking the same thing. I am sure the Cat's Protection League will be changing their policy on picking up cats.

I'm a bit confused. Are they saying that the guy who called to have a cat picked up is the one responsible for her death? Are they implying that the second call the next day was a way to lure someone else there, or a way to cover his actions by saying she never showed up?

I don't think there was actually a cat there, its implied that he pretended that he had a cat so that he could lure her there.

Yeah, maybe they should have a buddy system from now on? 'Cause people suck and stuff.
