I don't think my kitten is a bengal, we got him from a farm. But he has a beautiful pattern nonetheless, not too much unlike your Bengal. That pic from the top, of the kitten looking at the magazine reminded me a lot of what Monty looks like from that angle.

I am no expert but your boy definately looks at least part Bengal. From what I understand, Bengals are the only cats that have horizontal stripes. She is a cutie regardless!

I don't mind at all. I think someone using one of my photos as wallpaper is the greatest compliment they could give one of my photos! Looking forward to your baby pictures!

Your bengal kitten is so cute! My husband and I have 2 bengals: 1 female, Tigger, turned 1 on May 5th, and Gizmo, a snow spotted leopard male who is going to be 5 months on June 15th! Tigger is a brown spotted, like yours! Your kitten has such nice spots, too. Is she show/breed quality or pet? Tigger is show quality, but we have chosen not to show her. And, Gizmo, he is both, but we opted out.

I don't know if Tiki is show quality. For as much as I paid for her, she should be
!! The breeder said he was having 2nd thoughts about selling her. How do I find out if she meets show standards?(Don't think I would show her anyway.)

Hey you guys...you should start a thread to talk just about Bengals. I am sure it could benefit lots of people to read about thier personalities. As for the showing Nitecrwlr..it's a lot of work, but if you wanted to know, you would have to contact the breeder and find out if she is registered with any associations. I know most associations require quite a generation behind them to show.

I love your black-and-white photo-montage of Tiki! I'm sure Garfield would agree with me, that she could easily be named "Nermal." But none of us would want her sent to Abu Dhabi!

I use photoshop. I usually only use "curves" and "clone" tool and sometimes desaturate the picture to make it B&W. PHotoshop does all I need.

I get my thumbs in the way too! I just remove them in photoshop.
There are only a few basic principles that form as the basis of good photography. The 2 most important things to remember are to choose a simple background (composition) and to turn off the internal flash!! A camera with an internal flash gives pets the "deer in the headlights" look. It creates redeye and makes the background very dark. A bright cloudy day is the best possible lighting. But a good photography book and your photography will go to the next level in just a few hours! Try this link for starters. http://www.kodak.com/US/en/nav/takingPics.shtml

...hmm, but, you cant really do that much with "curves" as far
as i can see... so many questions, all of this is pretty frustrating.

how do you airbrush? how do you colour only certain areas? how on earth
do you clone? sorry
i love to learn new things...

Here are some great sites to get you started. The information is a bit overwhelming. Try focusing on the curve, layers, selection and cloning tools to begin with. Looking forward to more of your posts!

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. Here are a few pictures that were taken Sat. I'm trying to vary my style of photography. The first one is a bit unconventional, but I think you can still tell it's a cat.
