I just finished watching the movie The Notebook, and it reminded me of other "girly" flicks that made me cry.

Sommersby
The Love Letter
Somewhere In Time
Love Story
Ghost

I'm sure there are more, but that's all I can think of for now.

Which "girly" flicks turned your waterworks on?

Hmmm, I don't know if they'd be exactly classified as girly flicks, but the only 4 movies that have ever made me cry are: My Girl, The Last of the Mohicans, and Fox and the Hound, yes, the animated Disney movie
the ultimate tear-jerker was What Dreams May Come, I cried for a half hour after that movie was over, and not sniffles either, deep, wracking sobs

Over the river and through the woods...
Oh my lord...how long do you have?? Remember, I'm the one that cries at hallmark commercials!

First ones that come to mind...

When Harry Met Sally
Pretty Woman
Gone With The Wind
Bambi (at the end, not when mom dies)
Beauty and the Beast
Anything Disney (especially with animals)

The Last Unicorn
Titanic

Heck, I cry almost every episode of "Ghost Whisper" on TV. Crying is good for the soul.

I'm sure other people are going to post other movies that I have cried to!

For sure P.S. I love you I was an emotional wreck during it.
My Girl
Titanic

I don't really get into the girlie movies so it's hard for me to single some out.

Probably at work :(
oooohh...some good answers.

Not all these are "girly" flicks but they made me cry:

Old Yeller
Pure Country
Jerry Maguire
Simon Birch (cried forever after this movie)
Titanic
The Bucket List
The Green Mile
The Lion King
Untamed Heart

I don't usually cry during "romantic" movies. But I will cry during sad ones. There were parts of all 3 Lord of the Rings movies that had me bawling my eyes out. Some happy scenes, some sad ones.

I had forgotten about that one.

Titanic was another one. So was The Rose, Phenomenon, Same Time, Next Year.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest isn't really a girly flick, but I bawl my head off every time at the end of that movie.
There are a few parts in Forrest Gump that get to me, too.

"The Lake House" had me crying recently. I hadn't seen that movie before and my hubby downloaded it for me one afternoon recently when I had to spend the day in bed ... "What Dreams May Come" is one that can always be counted upon to make me cry no matter how many times I see it.

But the ultimate tear-jerker in my house is now and always has been "Gone With The Wind".

The Fox and the Hound and Black Beauty are awful for me.

There aren't many films with people in that make me cry, tbh.

The Lion King, definitely, and Bambi.

In the snow!!!!
Where the Red Fern grows is so sad. I cried when I watched the movie and I cried even harder when I read the book.

Old Yeller is also on the list of movies I can't watch

Titanic is very sad, but I can't see why my sister had to watch it like 5 times. I knew what would happen before it started and still cried at the end...

Romeo and Juliet makes me cry, so does Hamlet

I have never seen the movie but if it is anything like the book I would bawl my eyes out. I get choked up just thinking about the ending. My go to book when I need a good cry.

My Life with Micheal Keaton
The English Patient
When a Man Loves a Woman

It doesn't take much to get me crying. I'm trying to remember what I was watching last week that had me just about sobbing. Whatever it was, hit me like a ton of bricks, wham. Maybe that's why I'm blocking it out

One movie I did NOT cry during was Titanic. I guess I'm one of the few people who thought that movie was a terrible waste of time.

"You've Got Mail." When Tom Hanks comes walking up the path at the end, I just dissolve into a little puddle of tears.
