Hi, now that Malc's back to normal and peace is restored at home, I need to figure out what to do to get my other cat his vet care.
This all started when I had the housecall vet over to give them both checkups and shots. Malc was wary but tolerant during his own checkup/shot, but then went for the vet when the vet was trying to give my other cat his rabies shot. So Malc got his shot; my other cat didn't.
Last weekend, my nephew, who's a big tall guy like the vet, came over and Malc flipped out for about 24 hours. Now he's fine. The housecall vet is absolutely out at this point; it freaks Malc out too much. (Prior to that, he never had any problem with company.) But I'm worried if I put my other cat in a carrier to take him to a vet, that will also scare Malc right now. Plus, I'm on the top floor of a walkup, so I need someone to help me take him to the vet, and that also might freak Malc out.
So the other cat, whose around 9 or 10, is overdue. Mostly I worry about him not having his rabies shot, even though they're both strictly indoor cats.
Any suggestions welcome!
