Chance and I went to the vet straight after my work. I love this vet, they are much better than the one he was originally brought to. The vet has a great "bedside" manner. Vet threw out the flu medicine the previous vet gave and prescribed better ones, plus multivitamins, and also the magical Bene-Bac that Laureen227 had recommended without me having to ask

Vet also recommended I give him kitten food, so he's on canned Instinct (good for all life stages) and NutraGold Kitten.

Here he is waiting at the vet. He's got a look that I like to call "patient boredom".

Yep, patient boredom, all right!
"When can we go hoooooooooooooome Moooooooooooom?"

That sounds like a better vet experience. Hope he's feeling lots better real soon.

He is gorgeous
very "Aby-esque" with those big ears and cute litte face!

Here are some that he's feeling better under the new vet's care. My Stanley came from a similar situation (over 60 cats) he was terribly sick for the first few months (runny poo, sneezing blood, ear mites, other infections). Bene Bac helped quite a bit as did interferon (our last resort to help his immune system).

He is beautiful. He does look like he might be part Aby, maybe even half Aby. Even his coat looks like it may be ticked. I wish I lived in Singapore, I'd want to adopt him.

Dare I say it...? Chance's pen was CLEAN this morning!

I am cautiously optimistic regarding his diarrhoea
He took his meds like a champ after wolfing down his quarter can of Instinct, then after a brief wash-up, he launched into his morning routine of PLAY!!!

Caught a video, sorry its not longer, I'll make a longer one when the lighting is better. My room is really dim and its a gloomy, rainy morning today... Nevertheless, 3...2...1...launching Chance, the PLAY!!! machine!

As of now he's STILL jumping, hopping, pouncing, darting, sprinting around his pen, picking up an unlucky toy between his jaws and FLINGING himself and the toy down onto the ground with a thump. I hope he doesn't break a rib!

I wonder - given where you are -if Chance is a Singapura mix.

Here is what Wiki says:
The Singapura is a moderately stocky and muscular small to medium-sized cat, with a very short and fine coat. A full grown female usually weighs 5-6 pounds while the male weighs 6-8 pounds. The large, slightly pointed and deep cupped ears together with the large almond shaped eyes are a characteristic of the breed. The tail is slender, slightly shorter than the length of the body and has a blunt tip.

The breed's coat pattern is that of a ticked tabby.

Ah its very strange. You'd expect to see a million Singapuras running all around in Singapore, but they can hardly be found! In fact they are so rare that the Singapore Zoo had to bring in a family of them so they could be shown specially.. Imagine that!

I took a good look at Lily and Tolly's pictures just in case (they are gorgeous by the way!!
) and I still think Chance looks more Aby than Singapura. However, the vet I brought him to yesterday says he's no Aby, he's just a DSH. Well he's still a cutie in my book!

Little Chance had a great day today as far as his diarrhoea is concerned. His poop is still a little soft, but its definitely a LOT better than yesterday. He poops when he's ready to (in the toilet) and not anytime, any place

Hat's off to the wonderful vet and miracle Bene-Bac, and of course a huge THANK YOU to everyone who sent vibes and prayers for the little boy. He's finally turned the corner with the diarrhoea. Flu's much better too, still some sneezing, snorting and definitely conjunctivitis, but nothing that can't be handled.

To celebrate the end of his runny-poop days, I brought him downstairs to play. At the end of a vigorous play/exploration session, I cuddled him and he fell asleep in my arms!

Ahhh.. Finally he's still enough to take some decent photos!

Close-up of that handsome face

Big feet! Nah, its just the angle

No Aby my butt! He looks like he has some Aby in his lineage, even if he would only be classified as a DSH! He is GORGEOUS! And you are a wonderful person for fostering him.

that he gets better soon and finds the best forever home!

I promised you a video as soon as I had better light, so here's a short one I took when I brought Chance downstairs for his evening playtime... Hope you all enjoy!

http://s305.photobucket.com/albums/nn207/sharon_sam_028/?action=view&current=Video005.flv

Tried taking some still shots of him, but I swear he knows when the photo is about to be taken and chooses that exact moment to move... So attempts were unsuccessful. I don't have a good camera either, all I've got is a 5 megapixel phone camera. Its good for snapping many things except hyperactive kittens, it seems

After his play, Chance curled up in my lap and fell asleep again
This sweet moment continued for a long time, until... I felt something gooey between my fingers. GAH~ Chance had let loose in his sleep
The poor poor boy... He does try really hard to make it to the toilet, so I think this time was an accident because he was sleeping. Can't wait for the day he finally recovers!
