I am confused, I have a female cat that I was almost positive was/is pregnant. She had almost all the signs. She lost the hair around a few of her nipples, she gained weight (when looking at her from behind, her sides were poked out) she started eating more, sleeping more, felt like her boobs were filling up with milk, became very affectionate ETC.

Well this morning she got up, I let her out of her room (she has her own bedroom) that I keep her in at night, because I was expecting babies anytime, anyways she has been rolling around on the floor, rubbing her body aganist furniture, light blood discharge, putting her butt in the air, a little bit of calling/whining sounds ETC which all this stuff reminds me of a cat in heat. So now I am confused, now I have never seen her act this way before when she was in heat.

Do any cats act like they are in heat when they are actually in labor? I am so confused, just thought you all might have some answers/ideas, thanks

My cat is doing that too. I wasn't sure why she was doing it either. Hopefully kitties will be soon! hehe

It could be a false pregnancy. None of my pregnant females did what yours is doing before birth.

Maybe take her to the vet to verify IF she really is pregnant, and if not (it was a false one) then have her spayed.

I agree. Lucia acted similar after giving birth and I did see her act that way while early in her pregnancy but not once she started showing. I think it is concerning.

Now that makes me more confused. My cat is doing similar stuff...but I brought her to the vet and she is pregnant. Has about a week left now, anyway...she is still rubbing against my leg and meowing at me and wanting me to pet her and rolls on her back for me to pet her sides, there are only parts of her stomach she will let me pet. And wants her back scratched etc. Now is that something to worry about too?

Meeko got very friendly when she went in labor. She wanted me with her and kept meowing. She did not act like she was in heat though. Coco didnt act like she was in heat either. It can be a false preg and she went in heat.
