Glitch moved into sole possession of first place by using the word private. Marianjela used weekly. Marianjela also used see but that one became available for somebody else to use, but it was not. Also not used were trouble and folder.

Today's KatKwiz was about stickies.

Do you take the time to read all of the stickies for each of the forums you visit? Have you read all of the stickies on the entire TCS? Do you think people should read stickies before posting to that forum? Be honest now, do you sometimes wish you could post your own sticky? Finally, do you think the number of stickies that we have are too many, too few, or just about right?

I have read most of the stickies in the forums I frequent. I have at least scanned them to see what rules they contained. I think that I probably have not read every sticky on TCS, especially since there are some forums that I dont go into regularly, if at all.

I admit, that I did not read all the stickies before posting a thread or replying to a post. But I do think that people should read them eventually.
At the very least read the subject and see if it is of importance to the boards. For instance, since I do not have dragon eggs, that sticky does not pertain to me; however, I did read it on a slow night...

I have never had the desire to post my own sticky. Although, I have repeated myself regarding certain information and thought it would be useful if it was a sticky. But mostly, the members that I was writing were new, and I have a feeling they didnt read the stickies or announcements anyway, or else they would've seen that similar information probably was already posted. So I guess that kind of answers the previous question. If they read the stickies, they would've had their answer before posting.

I think the amount of stickies we have is just perfect. Right for The Cat Site. Not too little or too much. You dont have to scroll halfway down the page to get past them, and they arent in your face, but if there is something you are looking for, they are easy to find.

PS - congratulations Glitch

I usually read any stickies I haven't already looked at before I post in a forum. I like to make sure I know what the rules are for posting or to know if the topic in which I am interested has already been addressed. For example, if I'm going to ask a question about something, I check the stickies to see if the answer or a link to the answer has already been posted before.

I am sure I have not read all the stickies on the whole Cat Site becuase there are sections I have not even visited yet. And I often just click on New Posts, rather than checking each individual parent and child page every time I come to TCS.

Yes, I believe that people should read all the stickies in a section before they post for the first time, as well as any new announcements that may come up. Otherwise, they may not know what's going on. And if everyone would read all the information they can before asking questions, we'd probably save the mods and admins alot of time and energy replying to unnecessary threads.

I guess it would be nice to have the ability to post a sticky, but I have no clue what it would be about. I don't think I've been a member long enough myself to have the corner on the market when it comes to important information!

I think the number is probably just about right. I haven't seen much information that is duplicated in any stickies, and they do help me find quick answers when I need them. I don't think I'd want to see alot more, though, because it seems like the most important subjects have already been covered!

I actually haven't read ALL the stickies, most of them though. I have found that I have read a few more then usual since playing this game.

I don't think it should be a requirement to read all the stickies, but it couldn't hurt to read them.

I really don't have anything that important to say that would need a sticky thread LOL

I think the number of stickies are ok. As long as I don't have to scroll down the page really far to get to the first topic, then I think the number is ok.

I haven't read all the stickies in every forum. There are quite a few on here. It would take awhile to read through them all. If you are a new member I think you should read the stickies before posting. That way you understand the forum rules and everything. I've never wished I could post a sticky, there isn't anything that important for me to post about. I wouldn't say we have too many stickies here but maybe enough.

no, only the ones that would concern me at the time. & since i haven't had all of the issues addressed by the TCS stickies, i haven't read them all! i DEFINITELY think people should read a sticky that pertains to their problem BEFORE posting a new thread about the same thing - inappropriate litterbox habits, for example. i've never wanted to post a sticky, honestly. i would venture to say that TCS has just the right amount of stickies for now. should need for new ones arise, then we'd get new ones - and THEN we'd have just the right amount again!

WOO HOO!!!! YAY!!! Im in first... for a moment at least!! I actually went and checked my private messages before I came here, so I was shocked to see I used a word since I didn't have a PM yet! I can't believe Im in first place!!!

Yes Ive read all the stickies, which is unbelievable but its true... I like to know whats going on! I also find that they start as announcements and work their way up to a sticky later on which confuses me! I read all the stickys at places I visit regularly, if you dont at dragonspam you find yourself in permanent banishment! I do wish I could start my own stickys here, but I can at dragonspam and often do, because its important stuff for members to know and to understand! If all the stickies were combined it would be one very long sticky and wouldn't call as much attention to itself, having it broken up into one important thing per sticky really helps, because people can do it more slowly, and let the information sink into their heads! Which is really nice if you think about it! I would not want to have to read one long one containing everything that is important, because theres no way you could remember all that at one time, the brain takes time for things to absorb! I dont think we have too many at all, I think its just the right amount to have to give people the knowledge they need to be able to know what they are doing and which things are allowed and which things aren't allowed!
