I'm sure this has been addressed, and I tried looking through old posts, but I was getting nowhere fast..

One of my cats has just started sleeping ALL the time. He is a little over a year old. He is indoor/outdoor, but lately has been in a large part of the day. I leave him in when I go to work, and when I get home, he is still sleeping in the same spot. He is eating and drinking good, but I'm concerned. I don't know about his potty habits, because he goes out for that. However, some days he will lay asleep on my couch for 10 hours without going out. How long can they go without using bathroom?

Called the vet this morning, and he is out of town until Tuesday, so I just need some advice until then. He's not acting sick, but he's not having any energy!

Hmm, is it really hot where you live? That could be a reason. I would still get him to vet as soon as you can though.

thanks. I updated in a new post, but long story short, he's at the vet. I took him to one a couple of towns away. he had to stay!!! It is REALLY hot here, and that was my thought, but I knew today when i got home from work that he was not OK. they think it might be a uti. I'll know more tomorrow.
