I posted about hurting my back earlier today so I'm down for the count... for now.

My 10yr old son took it upon himself to cook dinner tonight.
I thought "Ok, TV dinners will work. They're quick, easy and fool-proof"

Boy did he suprise us!

I was in the bedroom on the computer, Brandon is still in the bathroom working on the floor and Deacon was playing in his room.

Justice made Salsbury steak (ok, yeah microwaved), green beans, corn and mac 'n cheese!
He made it ALL BY HIMSELF!!!!!!

I'm so proud of him! He didn't ask for help not once!

If ya ask me that's pretty impressive for a 10yr old

He said after he does the dishes he wants to make everyone milkshakes for dessert.

I wonder if I have a little chef in the making

Wow! Awesome!

Sounds like it turned out way better than my first attempt at making dinner for my Mom and Dad!

I bet he's super proud of himself!!

wow, that is really impressive! I don't think I could do that at 10 years old, no way.

He must feel really good about himself.

Hon, if you think you have a chef you should encourage him. There are some great childrens cookbooks at the local library, and you could slowly start teaching him now. In fact, he may surpass you in the cooking department quickly. 10 year olds are like sponges.

Check it out. The worst that could happen is that you could eat some burned meals. Heck, I do that now, and I'm an adult!

That's wonderful! How sweet that he did that all by himself and only 10 years old. Heck, I'd be impressed if my husband could do that and he's pushing 40!
