Something's way up with that boy. He's got an 8AM Fri.....can't get him in anywhere sooner.

He was acting off yesterday, but I chalked it up to cooler weather. Today something's definately up. I suspect he's got some pee issues going again. I've been giving him C/D 2 meals a day, but he also gets into the other kitties food & can catch/eat whatever he wants. (Squishy is a farm kitty) He's been getting wet food, too.

I am just not sure what I'll do with him. If he's inside, he sprays. If he's outside, I can't control the bladder issues he has.

Poor old fart, he's been to the vet more often in the 8 months I've had him than any other kitty here.
He's too old to keep this up.

Can you send mega his way?

Fingers crossed for him - if it is urinary, his weight wont be helping, as issues are more common in overweight cats.

He's actually gained weight since becoming an outdoor cat. I would've figured he'd loose some. Vet doesn't want him on weight loss food, as it's not good for urinary health. Kinda lose-lose situation there.

how odd!! I don't rate prescription wet food, and my vet doesnt even use it for urinary issues, we just use wet food only, and it helped both weight and urinary issues. It was hard in a multicat environment though

I'm a fair amount poorer....but the results are in.

First off, he's 16-18 years old, by my vet's guess!

His ear is bleeding inside. Possible tumor, but vet doesn't reccomend removal due to age. Treating as though he has an ear infection & we shall see in 2 weeks. (If it's determined he needs the surgery for sure, then we'll do a blood panel & go from there)

Anti-biotic shot, as he was pissing blood, again. We're going to try to get a urine sample from home & take to the vet in 2 weeks or so...vet wonders (as do I) if the blood is normally present, or if that's cause by going to the vet/getting a urine sample there. (He peed on the floor overnight & no visible blood. At the vet, he was peeing red)

He's to eat canned S/D only for 2 weeks.

Poor old Squishy! Are you going to have to bring him inside to monitor his diet?

for his recovery

If I bring him inside, he sprays up & down. (He turned the white paint yellow in the bathroom). He's miserable inside. Vet doesn't want to "drug" him to help the spraying, at his age.

His diet is *fairly* monitored outside. He gets several meals a day of the C/D he is supposed to get, but I'm sure he's getting other food.
