OMG OMG OMG We just moved from there!!!

Our Truck was broken into when we lived there and this happened last night.
We go back today to get the rest of our stuff out.
Trio car-jack van in north Modesto
Police are looking for three men they say used a handgun to steal a van, wallet and cell phone from another man Wednesday night in north Modesto.
The car-jacking happened at 8:30 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 3001 Hahn Drive, said Modesto police Lt. Scott Blom.
Three men in dark clothing approached the man and demanded his keys. One of the men had a black, semi-automatic handgun.
The men were described as black, and two had dreadlocks, Blom said.
The victim was not injured, but the men drove away in his green Chevy Venture van.

Refresh my memory, how far away did you move? Are you still in Modesto?

We are still in Modesto but we live on the other side of the city now. Six miles away from there.

We went back there to get the last of our stuff last night and there is a guard there now. Today we will turn in our keys and will be out of there.

Mostly second hand, but I've heard bad things about Modesto. Not a good place to live, that whole area, Modesto-Turlock area.

My Sister is in Turlock and it isnt bad at all. They make our city sound way worse then it is on the news. The West and South side are bad.

Yes, that's true. I think that people hear about a city and don't remember that in a number of cities were there are good and bad sections. Take The Bronx. People hear that and think of the South Bronx. Well, the northwest section is called Riverdale and there a mansions overlooking the Hudson with prices to go along. The northeast section has nice little houses most of them with gardens as it is a mainly Italian neighborhood.

Mews2much lives in a city of 206,300 in a metro area of 514,370. My city has 23,908 in a metro area of 4,180,027. We have lots of places with "neighborhoods."
