i wonder how many rats are dying for these scientists to 'play' with their robots.

what troubles me is how they justify their actions "The scientists at Reading University hope that they can use the machine to understand more about how our brains work, and even to develop treatments for diseases such as epilepsy, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's Disease."

what is the likelihood of ever hearing that through these robots we have 'wonder' treatments for these diseases.

when i think back to the anti-vivisection information i had as a teenager, with pictures showing rows and rows of rabbits having various irritants put into their eyes, beagles being forced to inhale cigarette smoke etc. and for what? senseless torture achieving an already known result.

and on it goes.
