That is why we are having today's KatKwiz, because I knew there was confusion on this. First, note that a siggy is not a Signature Picture, they are two different things. OK? And make sure your answer includes pixels.

According to everything I'm reading, you could conceivably have a signature that is 640 x 150 pixels, but it could not include any other text outside the signature banner (picture) itself.

Hmmm...I didn't understand what you wrote here at first, but now I'm doubting my answer is correct. I need to figure out what you mean by "Signature Picture!"

I am beginning to think I am seeing something you do not. In my next post I will include what I am seeing (approximately). If this has something to do with being a premium member, it is news to me but I learn a lot from KatKwiz, too!

Clicking on User Cp and then Edit Signature gives you something like this: If you have never loaded a Signature Picture it will look quite different but the size requirements should be there. Note that the siggy and Signature Picture are independent of each other. I can insert the Signature Picture by clicking on Insert Signature Picture which is quite different than my siggy. Try it in Preview. The size limitations are listed in the last line below.

You have given the correct answer for a siggy. Please check and see if you also have Signature Picture information where you edit your siggy. If not, you are the winner by default. Meanwhile I am off to see Mama Mia and will return to sort this out.

The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

PS - let us know how Mama Mia is!!!! Commercials look funny, my boys run around the house screaming it. "Mama Mia, Mama Mia"

It's not just for paid members, because it does show up on mine.

It's not your "PROFILE picture" it's your signature picture.

When you are in your User CP, on the side bar of your Control Panel click on the FIRST option:
"Edit Signature"

Scroll down toward the bottom, just past the box where you can edit your signature. There, there is a box that says "Signature Picture "

Included in that box is the size restrictions, which I quoted in my above post.

Well maybe you have to have so many posts or something because I looked again and the option is not there.

Maybe you have to reach a certain usergroup status or something...I'm going to go check this out further because it is frustrating me!
But I do not have this box that says "Signature Picture"...just a normal text editing box like I am using now to write my reply. Under that box is another box headed "Signature Permissions" and there is a line in that saying, "Can upload images for signature: NO."

Yes, I read all that about User Titles, too, but found nothing. I give up. I guess we'll have to wait for Lee to get back and straighten everything out!
