I just joined and I am very happy to find this site. I have one cat and two dogs, two horses and 200 sheep. I recently lost my beautiful, sweet half himilayan/siamese at the end of June. She was twenty years old. We lost her brother the year before and he also reached twenty. Now I am in the process of bringing in my barn cat who is a beautiful black something and siamese. He looks very much like the Egyptian cat sculptures. I've recently put the whole crew on Dr. Pitcarin's natural diet and they all look great.
It is very different dealing with a younger cat with claws. I'm in the process of making a sisal scratching post. I don't want my couch to be destroyed. Also I will need to teach him about the litter box. I bring him in for short periods. I brush him outside everyday to check for flea dirt. There is some flea dirt, but I'm not prepared to bath him.
I have a sister who is a groomer and hopefully she will do that for me - she's brave. Well that's all for now.
