I passed a Sonic Drive-In tonight on my way home and saw on the advertising board that they are now selling a Fried Ice Cream Blast. Has anyone tried this? I'm curious to know exactly what is in it?!

You have to be careful though. The ice cream is rock hard when it's rolled in egg then coated in the cornflakes or whatever the coating. Because the ice cream is so cold, and the cooking time so short, the egg is still raw. So there is a chance of getting Salmonella poisoning because of the raw eggs.
Now if they don't use eggs, then there is no concern.

It is caramel flavored ice cream with cinnamon chunks and whipped cream. I have not tried it, but I just saw the commercial a few minutes ago.

I think you should go buy one and test it out. Let us know if it is good or not!
I haven't had that one, but I have tried the Java chiller and it is to die for!

I do not like coffee at all, so that would probably be totally disgusting to me.
Well, based on the description of it and the picture, it probably tastes nothing like real fried ice cream. Which is disappointing.
But it does look pretty delicious!
I can't wait for Sonic to open up down the street, they say it's opening in August so it can't be too much longer, right?!

I always see these commercials for great stuff at Sonic...of course we don't have a Sonic!

I love the Ocean Water or the Strawberry Lime Aide. I always say I will try something else but always get the same thing. Maybe I will try the Fried Ice Cream and then give the rst to my Husband.
i usually get either the cranberry or peach tea, drink-wise. altho the strawberry/lemon slush is really good, too!
It has a slight Coconut taste and is blue.

I could live on them. I can do without anything else from Sonic, the food is typical fast food, but cherry limeade....
I don't care for Sonic too much as nothing there is good for you, not really. I do like the Cheddar Peppers but they are evil fried food
I will go to happy hour where drinks are half price and get a plain iced tea with lemon.
We don't have Sonic's around here. I think I went to one once when we were traveling but I do not remember if I liked the food or not. Fried ice cream sounds good though. I have never had fried ice cream. I had a fried candy bar once and oh my goodness was that good!!
