I told you, no more grand slams. If Marian had not made it, we would be playing for 1400 points per question today. Although three of the words were used, they were all used by none other than marianjela. Novel, hundred, and enough. She gets credit for novel. Noboby guessed double or while. Look at the book she wrote and you will see why she gets multiwords a day. But then again, why isn't she in first? October is going to be fun, I guarantee that.
Laureen wins a lot with just a few words; it will be interesting to see how well she and DW communicate at our KatKlik (cat clique). It will also be interesting to see if she suddenly starts doing even better after talking to DW (DW comes up with the secret words.) Wait - I sense some cries of foul play in the making here...
Don't worry, Persi keeps me honest.

Today's KatKwiz took you to a lot of areas but mainly using the advanced search feature of Members List.

Today's KatKwiz was about Mike's cat Punkin, who is also coming to the great KatKlik, do you think that had anything whatsoever to do with anything? I just reread my prior sentence and see it was not clear whether I was talking about Mike or the cat coming, do you do that? I always find fun (for me) things to do with Members List, someday I am going to make up a composite TCS member, do you think you will fit in pretty good? I think we all fit in, some of us just need more practice with the avanced search functions, would you agree? And now if nobody has beat me to it, I am going to inform Mike he was featured on KatKwiz today, do you think I'm too late?

Hmmm...I guess you could have chosen Punkin (or Mike) in order to give yourself another chance to highlight KatKlik again. By the way, did you ever explain to everyone what the KatKlik is? Is is some kind of gathering for all the Texas TCS members or something?

Yes, I sometimes write or say things and then realize what I said made absolutely no sense at all. At least when dealing with the written word, one has the ability to go back and delete or rewrite everything so that it is clear!

Your idea of creating a composite of the average TCS member sounds intriguing. It would be interesting to see all our various traits thrown together into one "person." I suppose I would fit in well, since I am a female (and we have already established that there are a few more women around than men, which brings me to the question...would the composite TCS member be male or female, or neutral?) and have more than one cat, as it seems most people around here do. Okay...that was a long sentance that probably didn't make sense...see?

I could probably rehearse using the advance search tools on the member list, but I don't know why I would other than to participate in the KatKwiz!

For some reason I had a hard time trying to do an advanced search in the member list. I kept entering after 2007-12-31 instead of 2008-01-01. I also tried searching by join date. I can't wait to find out what this KatKlick thing will be.

i don't think it necessarily had anything to do w/anything - you just found a way to make people use the search
! & yes, i sometimes do the same thing when typing/saying a sentence. i think the majority of the members here 'fit in' relatively well, especially given the enormous range of ages, belief systems, & countries of origin/residence. i don't think you're too late to tell Mike - he probably doesn't even usually READ the KatKwiz or KatKwery threads.
don't know why i have a tendency to win so often - almost all i ever do is answer your questions!

Sorry I broke the curve yesterday guys
But thanks again for the points Lee... I swear I need to have that tattoo'ed on my body somewhere maybe... Thanks Lee
I do agree, I do have a tendency to get a little bit wordy. It's no wonder I hit on so many words. When you're typing the dictionary, you're bound to get a word or two sooner or later...

And I have to say - how weird that one day there is a GRANDSLAM where every word is used, then the following day... almost every word slips by. Just goes to prove my moon-phase theory

Two of my daughter's played in an All-Stars game today and we've been gone all day, just getting home about less than an hour ago. Didnt take me long to start shaking and get the need to sign on to TCS. So goes without saying that I missed the KatKwiz question of the day; and when I went to go check it out, once again I was locked out by NetNanny saying something about "gambling". However, the great Marianjela will still attempt to answer this question - blindfolded

Do I think that Mike or Punkin had anything to do with the Kwiz. NO! And I admit, I am cheating and answering this only after reading everyone else's responses. So much for the blindfold
Although, perhaps you did it to advertise and reiterate the upcoming KatKlik, and to send Mrblanche a few props
I do think it is funny when people ask about the Klik though
Especially after you gave the huge hint in today's KatKwery post "Cat Clique". Cocoa Cream hit the nail on the head when she guessed it was regarding the Great Texas Meet-up! Oh, how I wish I was closer to The Lone Star State just to participate in this exclusive circle of friends and see the beautiful cats. A especially to witness Lee's wife's face when she receives her special surprise!

I write ambiguous statements all the time, only to have to go back and edit my sentences to make myself less vague and more clear and understandable. I blame it on brain-finger communication. There is a lag in time from one to the other. My fingers move faster than my thinking cap and words get all scrambled on the screen
Oh well.

Ah ha! A man after my own heart. I am a database junkie. I have made a collection of names from my Pediatric Cancer group that helps me remember who is who and to learn about their children, and once there was a fun game on TCS where people answered questions about themselves including their names and I started a list on that too. ROFL Again, to help me recollect who is who. I'm not a stalker or anything
I promise. But sometimes I think my cranium has a leak and I dont retain things as well as I used to these days. As for your list... I think if your wife made it I would fit in excellent
And since you are married to her, I think I will mesh perfectly by way of association. Compatibility by osmosis!

And because this site is all about cats and members are all here for a common reason, for the most part I do think we are a friendly, harmonious group fitting in relatively flawless! We all agree our cats are worth the time we spend on TheCatSite. I suppose others would think we need our heads examined. As far as needing more practice with the advanced search feature. I use it all the time. And it's funny, because every time the Kwery pertains to the search functions, I can never bring to mind why or what prompted my previous search, but I do recall doing it a lot

Mike and Punkin, our local celebrities! I have to admit, I'm almost relieved to see that he doesnt frequent the Kwery all that often. I just can not imagine the stress of writing these novels with the added pressure of being graded by our resident English Teacher. Hey Mike, can I get your autograph now? Or am I too late???

ETA - I bet today's winnings that "osmosis" is one of the secret words of the day - am I right?

ETA (again) that I am a doofus!!!!

When I read that you were "going to make up a composite TCS member", I read you were "going to comprise a list of TCS members".

Hence my babbling mumbo jumbo in the post above. Oh brother. People probably reading that wondering what it has to do with the price of beans!

Talk about writing stuff that can be misconstrued. What about reading stuff with a great misunderstanding and with a distorted, twisted mind?
