Must read Economics textbook!

I made the mistake of lying on the bed to "study" and of course now I'm all sleepy. Lily and Stumpy ran straight in and curled up on the bed too
Maybe I'll have a short nap, then I'll study better...

Can anybody lay on the bed in the afternoon reading without falling asleep?

Yeah, sometimes I am just so interested in a book that I can't put it down. That was not the case with my Neurobiology book. Put me to sleep all the time

Ohhh i never could study in the bed when i went to school- i'd always nap too
It's just too tempting to fall asleep

A little nap might help! Why not allow yourself a half hour since your tired and then return to your studies?

There's no way I could read anything dull and boring in the bed without being out cold in a matter of minutes.
I'm having problems enough sitting upright this afternoon and staying awake.

Chemistry did it for me. 15 minutes with that book and I was out, whether I was in bed or not.

I live for my afternoon naps! But they turn into power snoozes instead of "naps!" I end up sleeping for 2 or 4 hours and then I'm messed up for the night. Laying in bed reading, especially something dry like economics stuff, is a sure fire guaranty that I'll fall asleep!

I had a lovely nap! Lily was driving me mad, walking around me and mewing in my face, so I dragged myself out of sleep enough to pat her for a few minutes, then she curled up against my belly, and we both went back to sleep
I slept for about an hour, then went over to the park with my neighbour and her little girl, and it's now 4pm and I'm just starting my study...

I don't blame you, Sarah, econ is enough to put anyone to sleep

I have an unusual situation though, I have to be lying down holding a book up over my face to read. I was in an accident a few years ago and ever since I absolutely cannot have my neck bent down for any length of time...so if I'm reading something boring I have to make sure I am wide awake!

OMG No! I can NEVER lay on the bed and read. In fact I can't read laying anywhere! But then again I have a sleep disorder and go into REM within seconds of being in a relaxed position.

Hahahaha...my kitties ALWAYS played 'sandman' on me when I needed to study...Or they just plain sat on the keyboard, so I couldn't do research, or type that paper...Haha

My dog never helped either, even when I first got her...she learned how to chill out in the house pretty quickly, so at night especially, she was 'out' when I needed someone awake...well, someone to 'keep' me awake...

So...the answer to your question...nope...
