Question of the Day - Aug 8th Friday

I bugs the you know what out of me...Especially when I have department heads submitting reports or sending out memo's in abbreviated forms. I can understand using it for texting but not for other communications..

Yep, it is really annoying!! It is almost as bad as tYpInG lIkE tHiS wHiCh Is HaRd To ReAd.

Wow, and it is just as annoying to type!! lol

I will use abbreviations on occasion...like if I am posting at work and I need to hurry and finish it because my boss is walking in the door! Haha.

Ugh, that drives me CRAZY. One of my friends, who'll be 21 this year, still types like "dis" and "dat" ... maybe it was fun when we were 15 and 16, but it's time to grow up a bit! We're in the real world now.

I hate it. This is one reason that I don't do text messaging.

My spelling is not the greatest so I always use auto spell-check on my e-mail. If that is not an option I will compose in a program that has it. Then cut and paste the text.

It drives me crazy. My sister (who is 14) types like that and it really bothers me.

I can't stand when people spell when as wen.

Yeah.... I hate it! It makes me cringe! Too bad you didn't make an anonymous poll with this! it would have been interesting.

I don't mind it when texting or IM-ing.

I don't mind it on text messages, but otherwise it just bugs me! The contract I work for has 2 call centers and we have to leave notes on the callers accounts after talking to them explaining what the call was about. My call center abbreviates some things (like thru, b/c, w/o, etc) but the other center has come up with their own version of short hand that is impossible to decipher! It's like vowels don't exist in their world.

We only have a certain amount of time allowed to put in notes but come on...

Isn't that 'texting'? Yep, it kinda does for me...

it doesn't really bother me. I only type like that if I am text messaging because it is more annoying to hit all those little buttons just to send someone a message then if it is to long you have to divide it up into several messages.

I hate when people type like that.
