i know there's a lot of book lovers here. i came across this site tonight by accident and wanted to pass it on
www.booksfree.com
kinda like netflix, except they rent paperbacks & audio. i probably won't be using them anytime soon since i got about 2000 books, mostly fantasy, and there's about 600 i haven't read yet. i won't be bored for a loooooong time

I used to think so too - but you get used to it if that is the only way you can read a book (stuff that is in ebook only format). Things that help - comfortable chair, turn your contrast down, and a good ebook reader that allows you to change skins/background and fonts. Ubook reader is nice for those who use Windows - for rft, html, and a few other formats.

Wowio
I just did a search for 3 prolific romance authors. I got no reply on any of them. As a matter of fact, I got back anime books?

There were 5 books in their romance category...all by Jane Austen. I guess she was the last great romance author according to their webmaster?

i've read some of her books. she has a different style but i liked her books.
i've just finished jennifer roberson's "chronicles of the cheysuli" #1-8 and before that kate forsyth's "witches of eileann" #1-6 and loved both series.

Wowio has only books that are in the public domain, or those that the authors are willing to put online for a fee from the sponsors.

But if you're going to recommend a book, let me recommend "The Alchemyst: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel." It includes all sorts of legendary characters, and it can challenge you to some real research. By the way, Harry Potter fans will recognize the name; Nicholas Flamel was actually a real person! The author is Michael Scott.

The second book in the series, "The Magician," has just come out.
