To make a short story long- I'm feeling very guilty about not spending enough time with my cat. I'm currently living with my mother (as is my cat), but she doesn't want anything to do with kitty.

Fiance lives aaaalll the way on the other side of town, and I spend more time there, than I do here. I wish I could bring kitty with me to fiance's for now, but she hates car rides. I've been looking for a job so fiance, cat, and I can all move in together, but it's taking way too long. So far, I've mostly been looking on craigslist for makeup, boutique, bridal, or sales jobs, but nothing's come through.

Do any of you know of any generally well-paying, fairly easy to get jobs?

What kind of education background do you have?

Are you looking for a long term commitment job or not?

What do you WANT to do?

Does she hate the car rides or do they make her ill?

Try taking her over there for a week and see how she does. If the only place she goes in the crate is to the vet, no wonder she hates it.

My daughter's kitten was not too fond of riding in the car, throwing up and crying, but she still has to come when my daughter does. For the last trip down here, she walked right into the crate and laid down - no getting ill either. She is just getting used to it.

Fiance just moved in with his friend (who lives there with his gf, and their baby). Fiance's friend said he's fine with us keeping the cat there, but he needs to talk to his girl about it, and that girl is a psycho monster. So much of a psycho monster, that fiance doesn't even know if he's going to be staying there much longer.

Background-wise... I've finished highschool, I've had a job doing secretarial work, I worked at a dry cleaner's, a denny's restaurant, a doggy day care, and I sold time-share for a while. I'm great with customer service, and sales, but I've never stuck with a job for much longer than half a year, and as you can see, they're all really random, and don't really help me prove that I have "experience" doing anything. Worst of all I get SUPER nervous at job interviews, and I'm pretty sure it's obvious. I can't work at a casino, because I'm not 21 yet (20), and they take forever to hire anyone, even when they do, because they're so picky.

I would still try to work at the casino, I am going to try when i get to Melbourne, you get pretty good money in a week! When my friend worked there for three months she had half the money to make a deposit for a house plus a load of spending money. Otherwise literally apply for every job that interests you, when you go to an interview even though they know you are nervous you just need to make sure and give them the vibe that you are very interested in the job.

apply at a call center if there is one in your area. They are always hiring they pay pretty good for entry level usually and most of the time it involves sales and it involves customer service. I have worked in a call center for many years. The place I work now starts out at 14-15 an hour with bonuses. I wouldn't do outbound though but you might be.. I wouldn't worry so much about the job hoping you have done in the past cause you are only 18. If they ask I would just tell them that you had jobs here and there to make money while in high school.

Are there any good temp agencies in your area? Since you have worked a variety of jobs that may give you precedence over someone that worked the same job for 10 years. Especially with customer service and office skills. I agree, at your age I wouldn't worry about not being at a job for a long period of time. Most people recently out of high school only worked over the summer and over breaks. I would think they would probably be impressed that you actually worked while in high school since a lot of people don't.

As for traveling with your cat, if you decide to move him to your BF's, you may want to call the vet and explain the situation. He may give you a mild seditive that will calm him down for the trip. My cats hate traveling too but mainly because they usually know the crate means the vet. The one time we did take crate them to move they had a fit then when we got there they kept looking around for the "evil" man in the white coat. They didn't know what to do!

I would think twice about letting my cat move in with a "psycho monster." Moving in itself will be stressful enough for your cat. Also, cats aren't crazy about change, so if you think that your cat won't be there very long, you might want to wait for a more permanent move.

I have not been able to find a Job here and either could my Sister. Then she tried a Casino after trying over 50 places and they hired her. The pay is good also. The only bad part is she works 5-1:30 am or 6 -2:30 am. She has a Ba and still could not get a job in her field.
